City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza hosting coat drive to benefit Hand of Hope for You & Chicagoland Women's Shelters

WHO:  Chicago City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza

WHAT:  Chicago City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza is hosting a coat drive to benefit Hands of Hope for You. All coats will be distributed to various women’s shelters throughout the Chicagoland area.  Donations of new and/or gently used coats can be dropped off at the Office of the City Clerk during normal business hours. Drop boxes are available in the lobby.

Clerk Mendoza will be joined by Aldermen Margaret Laurino (39), Alderman Deb Mell (33), Alderman Brian Hopkins (2), and Alderman Anthony Napolitano (41) who will collect coats in their ward. Each alderman will use their ward office as a drop off location.

Founded in 2012, Hands of Hope for You is designed to give hope, share resources and meet the needs of families in communities throughout Illinois. They have serviced several families in Chicagoland communities such as Englewood, Bronzeville, Lawndale and Austin. Services include free clothing, information for education services, encouragement and the invitation of spiritual fellowship.
